Ghost Story
This actually
happened to me along time ago and I have amazed people with the story
ever since.
I think I was 14 maybe 15 years old when I had my
first encounter with a ghost. I had spent the night at my best
friend's house; he lived in an old house built in the early 1900's. A
lot of families had come and gone from that house over the many years,
but no one had died there to the owner's knowledge. Anyways my friend
and I had returned to his house and went upstairs to go to bed. You
know how you get the feeling of someone watching you well that is what
happened. I woke up at 3:30 to find someone sitting in the middle of
the bed staring at me. I was fairly groggy but I recall every feature
of this person. I remember looking at the clock, then over at my buddy
and he was sound asleep.
No harm was done nothing was said,
just a quick stare down. Then back to sleep, no time to be really
scared. I really didn't think too much about it till the next morning
when I asked my buddy if he had seen someone in our room last night.
He says was it a boy about 7-8 years old with brown hair wearing a
blue suit much like little boy blue wore, white tie and all? Pretty
sure my jaw hit the floor. He described exactly what I saw. Then it
hit me, when I sat up that night I had been nose to nose with a ghost.
The ghost of the little boy in blue. I asked my buddy have you seen
him and he was like sure he is in my room almost every night. He likes
to play, moves my glasses on the table, messes with my alarm clock.
That explained why my buddy had to alarm clocks in his room, I had
always wondered about that. Really does no harm to anyone, just hangs
out. He tells me the little boy is fascinated by the LED alarm clock,
just stands there and stares at it. Then he says well I guess he was
just checking you out while you slept. Yeah that was a comforting
thought! I can't say I ever stayed in that house again. I can tell you
I would love the chance to see the little boy in blue again. A full
body apparition with features will probably never come my way again,
but then again you never know.

My step brother and I used to walk beans when we were in our early
teens. We got hired to walk a field a few miles from where we lived.
The landowner drove us out to the field to show us where he wanted the
work done. We noticed an old house about 100 yards into the field, the
driveway was almost grown over and fenced off from the road with
barbed wire and a no hunting sign dangling from it.
The next
morning, we arrived at about 6 AM. It was forecast to be very hot and
humid that day, so we wanted to get an early start. We walked the
field all morning and were making good time. We stopped for a quick
lunch at about 11:30. It was really getting hot, and we were sweaty
and our pants were still wet from the dew from the beans. We sat on
the tailgate of his pickup eating, and talking. It was my idea to
check out that old house, I had a way of talking my step brother into
all kinds of stupid things!! The land owner told us to stay away from
the house, it was not very stable, and he didn't want us to get hurt.
Yeah, right!
It was a big old farmhouse, the windows were all
gone, the door was gone, and raccoon poop all over the main floor. We
walked around the main level and pointing out all the cool stuff that
was still there. Some furniture, a huge supper table, and what not's
were scattered around. We were having fun just snooping around.
Now it was time to check out the upstairs. The stairs led up from
the dinning room area to a dead end, and then you had to turn right to
take the rest of the steps. We noticed that it was getting really
cloudy and dark outside, and the wind was picking up. Since the
windows were gone, the wind felt good and was getting cooler.
There were 5 bedrooms up there. A few dressers, an old bed, and other
things were scattered around. It was really cool to look around, I
would tell him to look at this, and he would tell me to look at that.
The wind was picking up and it was getting really dark outside. Then
we saw a sharp flash of lightning, followed by a very loud crack of
thunder. It was a close strike. We started to walk toward the
stairwell, it was time to go. The weather was going to be the end of
the work day.
We approached the staircase, when we heard some
guy yell, "Get down in the cellar, now!!" We thought we were busted by
the landowner. He told us to stay away from the house the day before.
The voice sounded very scared and angry. Not like someone saying it
the first time, it was more like he was yelling at kids that would not
obey him. It was like an "I'm not telling you again", angry father's
voice. We thought it was the landowner telling us to get into the
cellar due to a tornado or something. It was bad outside!
We
ran down the steps as fast as we could, practically killing ourselves
tripping down them. The lightning and thunder was relentless. We got
to the bottom of the steps, ran through the dinning room toward the
kitchen. Steps lead down to the outside, and the cellar was at the
bottom of that. We were turning that corner to hit the cellar, but we
noticed something really weird. Bright sunshine, heat, humidity, just
like it was when we walked in. There was not a cloud in the sky!
We never came very close to that house again. We told a few people
and friends about it, but they just said we were full of sh*t. Nobody
would believe us. Plus, we didn't want the land owner to find out we
went in there.
A few years later, the landowner died and his
sons took over the land. The first thing they did was smash the house
in and burn it into the cellar. The outbuildings are all gone now,
too. I have never heard of anything like this happening to anyone
else, not a typical haunted house story!
